Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning proudly sends NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes across North America every day. While this notation of being Nate-Certified decidedly sounds reassuring, what does it truly mean?
NATE, an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence, is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the certification organization that was developed by and has been acknowledged by the entire HVACR industry for close to 20 years. Although, not all technicians in the industry have to be NATE-Certified. The certification is non-mandatory and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems without the certification.
It’s essential to Service Experts that our team is NATE-Certified to make sure we are sending the most experienced technicians into our customers’ homes. To make sure technicians meet these standards, the NATE-Certification exams confirm real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that evaluate the technician’s understanding of these guidelines.
Due to the fact that Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses mainly on the HVAC side of NATE-Certification, our technicians achieve their designations in these areas. However, NATE assessment candidates may earn certification in multiple areas:
- Air Conditioning
- Air Distribution
- Gas Heating
- Oil Heating
- Heat Pumps
- Hydronic Gas (service only)
- Hydronics Oil (service only)
- Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
- Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
- Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
- Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst
