In October 2016, two Service Experts centers will be turning heads with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are both going to paint two of their service vans pink for the fight to end breast cancer.
During the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be donating 20% of all sales from their pink vans to their local Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help cure breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be giving 5% of all sales from their pink vans plus $10 for every Precision tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.
This is the second October Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted a couple of their vans pink to fundraise for Susan G. Komen. In 2015, Fras-Air was able to raise over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. David Schneider, the general manager and one of his employees both lost their mothers to alternative forms of cancer and were moved to help other families.
“The National Cancer Institute reported that 107,184 women in New Jersey had breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider stated. “While the number of cases is actually going down each year, that still constitutes a significant number of families who are struggling with this disease, and therefore we have an urgent need for research and support.”
Chris Overton, the General Manager for Service Experts of Raleigh, echoed Schneider’s thoughts. “According to the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the most prominent type of cancer in our state – for men and women.”
